20/20 Vision Education Fund's mission is to educate the U.S. public on the interrelationships among protection of the environment, energy independence and global security; to encourage citizens to engage in effective communication with policy makers, and to mobilize public support for policies, new technologies and lifestyle changes that will make a safer, healthier future possible.

Our primary focus is on how America's dependence on oil impacts our security, economy and environment. We seek policy change on these issues in the following ways:

  1. Testifying before Congress. In October 2005, 20/20 Vision Executive Director Tom Collina testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on oil dependence and its impact on US foreign policy. To see the testimony, click here.
  2. Working with the media. We speak regularly with local and national media representatives at print, radio and TV outlets. To see us on TV, click here.
  3. Educating the public. Through the PowerShift National Tour and similar events, we reach out directly to the public to discuss crucial security and energy issues.
  4. Training tomorrow's leaders. Through our Regional Directors Program, we identify and train students to be future leaders on our core issues.
